LOOKING BACK – What a great week we just had. – Our V.B.S. went great, with over 30 young people being ministered to, in creative new ways. – And the workers all did a great job, with enthusiasm, and energy.

Sundays worship service was a bit different, but we still had a good time of praise, and spent good time looking at God’s word, about the work of missionaries. We raised nearly $ 400.00 dollars for our missionaries CHRISTmas.

(Also, remember, you can contribute to our missionaries CHRISTmas any time between now and mid November)

Sunday night: We had over 60 people join us for our ice cream fellowship, and softball game. – Spectators, players, kids, etc. . . – Including a few visitors.

It was also so good to see Terry Shields. ( AND, Wow, Brooks hit that ball a country mile !)

Zack is doing fine after being hit by the ball, and even spent some time at our place swimming yesterday.

LOOKING FORWARD – This Sunday we conclude our series on “The Fruit of The Spirit.” This message will really be helpful to understanding just how we work along with The Holy Spirit, to bring about the fruit God wants us to have in our lives.

ALSO, remember we have Men’s Prayer and Bible Study every Saturday morning at the church from 7:30 – 8:00.

ALSO COMING UP – Beginning in September – The Purpose Driven Life, small group series.

WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR ? WHAT DID GOD CREATE YOU FOR ? ARE YOU FULFILLING YOUR TRUE PURPOSE ???

Don’t let this series slip by without you ! It is only 6 weeks long, but it could change your life, forever !

Have a great day. Pastor

Hello Church Family

I hope that the great service we had yesterday, serves as a launch to a great week for you.

Yesterdays service had so many nice things. -  Praise, Prayer, a laugh or two, and of course, the message from God’s word, as we continued our look at the fruit of The Spirit.
We also had a few visitors. – It is important that we always make our visitors feel especially welcome, and valued.

Cindy did a great job with a great song, and the time of worship was energized. I pray that our our worship was genuine, and that God was pleased with our corporate worship service.

This week finds us in the midst of a few exciting things.

Vacation Bible School – ( V.B.S.) Kicks off tonight, at 6:00 – 8:00.  -  The workers have been busy, the people are ready, and the theme is a fun one. – Super Hero’s !!!
But, what we really need, is God to work as only He can. – So, please be in prayer, that God will do great things for His glory !

CHRISTmas in July – This Sunday, July 25th,  we will be exactly 5 months from CHRISTmas day ! We will have a special service to give us an opportunity to consider our missionaries, and to provide for their CHRISTmas.

FROM THE PASTOR  – Some years ago, I decided on a new years resolution to memorize the main verse, or event of a certain number of chapters in the bible. -
By the end of January, I had succeeded. – I could have simply been satisfied with the accomplishment, or, , , I could have recreated the goal.

I have a Pastor friend, who yearly creates 3 goals for himself – One Spiritual, one Physical, and one financial.  -

Jesus had a life mission, a goal to redeem mankind. Paul had a goal to preach to as many people as he could.

Goals are important. Goals move us on with purpose. Goals should be challenging, attainable and measurable. – And, if we fail, we should not be discouraged, but simply re-establish the goals. – If we succeed too easily, we should re-evaluate the goals. – John Maxwell said – “If at first you do succeed, , , try something harder”.

Set a goal this week, , ,or two, or three. Don’t forget a Spiritual one. Do your best. Then, Work with God toward those goals.

Hello church family

This Sunday, June 27th, we return to our current series on “The Fruit Of The Spirit” with a message titled – “Faithfulness, It’s more than you think.”

Then SUNDAY NIGHT AT 6:00, is our church Pic Nic, with food, fellowship, and fun !!! Come make some fun memories,  Plan to join us for this special time !!!

FROM  THE  PASTOR

301, 301. . . Page 301 !  Yesterday, I reached page 301 in the book that I am currently reading. . . and on that particular page, I found the first typo in the book. –

Now, I don’t look for typos, , , but I often do notice them. –

For some reason this one made me smile.  Oh, it was not a big one. . . Simply misspelled “Of”, for “Or” . . . no big deal.

But, I think I smiled, just to know that someone else made a mistake. – To realize that everyone makes mistakes. Even if it takes 300 pages to happen.

That everyone, includes me, , , (Many of you know that all too well), , , and it includes you.  -

Knowing that we all make mistakes, should make us more patient, and forgiving when others make mistakes !

And, there’s an old saying, “if by chance you think you are perfect, , , try walking on water.” -

Only one person ever did that. . . and, through the apostle Paul,  He tells us to forgive others. . .

Eph. 4:32 – ” . . . forgiving one another, just as God, in Christ forgave you.”

Now let me say this, , , the only people we really need to forgive, , , are those who can’t walk on water. . . and the guy who made they typo on pg 301.

Have a good day.   Pastor Rich

Somewhere out there, probably in another part of the world, there is one smooth stone.

If stones could smile, it may still be smiling about the role it played many years ago.

Perhaps it is part of a building now. Perhaps it is in a desert, or an ocean by now.

But one day, it was very special. It was one of 5 smooth stones held by a young man named David.

It did a lot more than knock down an enemy. It gave victory to God’s people. It made history.

People all over the world have read about this stone.  Yep, one special stone. . . or was it ?

Actually, it was just an ordinary stone. If you found it today, it would look much like any other stone.

( Perhaps you even kicked it as you walked along today. )

But, with the help of an Extraordinary God, it did a great thing !

God, often uses the ordinary, to do the extraordinary !

If He can use a small smooth stone to bring such victory, He can certainly use us to do great things.

But, unlike the rock, we can refuse. We can choose our own plans over His.

Ah, but when we completely surrender to God, He may toss us in the right direction, to do a great things or Him.

So, let go of your own agenda. Accept the place where God puts you, or even Tossess you.

And be ready to fly  . . . right into victory. For His Glory !

——————————————————-

Not long ago a man told a friend that he had invented a computer that was almost human. – The friend replied – “You mean it can think on its own?”

“No”, he replied, “but when it makes a mistake, it blames it on another computer”.

From the first man Adam, until now, we are all sinners. Adam’s initial response was to pass the blame.

All of us are fallen creatures, prone to make mistakes, and do wrong.  But as God’s children, we should recognize our role to accept responsibility, make apologies, and right the wrongs as best we can.

Do you need to apologize for something? Correct something?  If so why not take care of it today!
